Why is it so important to invest in good design?

Brand strategy and design are the foundation investments in your business which will generate more income. Without a well thought out, intentional and aligned marketing plan you will never capture and captivate your ideal clients - instantly. The amount of times we've seen businesses go off to a designer who could do it cheaper or easier, then have to come back to us to redo everything because their budget essentially has attracted rubbish is tremendously shocking. It then of course costs the client more in the long run. So we DO save you money. 

What makes Black Fox Creative stand out?

I understand that every business is unique, handcrafted and very personal to you. I’m not an agency who counts $ signs, but a small business, that partners with yours to create a business that YOU LOVE and so that your customers start to do the same. 

I work with you, alongside you, as a team member of your business. I love WIN, WIN situations, in fact, if I don’t feel that I’m a good fit for your vision, I will tell you. 

I have a background in print, signage, marketing, customer service, hospitality, stage shows and the event management space, which is all VERY customer focused.

I’m also backed by a team of experienced creatives (eg photographers, signwriters, SEO and website content writers) and I will partner up with you, to make your business a success. We make sure of it.

What if I want something that is not on your pricelist?

We cater to range of needs. We don’t create cookie cutter branding. Outside of the packages, all projects can be tailored to suit your business needs. We can even sort out monthly payment plans if you would like a more affordable solution for regular work. 

What is the design process?

Once I have talked dollars and you are happy with your quote I will send over a design proposal that includes a deposit invoice and proposed project timeline. Once you have paid your deposit I will spend some time getting to know you and your business better – via a skype call and questionnaire (depending on your package inclusions). I will then create a brand mood board for your project which will set the tone of how we want it to look and feel if applicable.

When the brand mood board is approved, I will move onto designing some concepts for you. You will then have the opportunity to give us your feedback (this is usually via email). I will then continue to tweak and refine your design until it is approved.

In terms of the logo design process is a bit different to what you would possibly expect. We have a lot of research and development before we go into your branding head first. 

We compare your industry trends, competitors and ensure that you have a stand out business based on your values and your value proposition to your customers. No two businesses are the same, so it is fair to treat them this way. 

When we design your logos, we take all the research into consideration and craft black and white concepts to begin with. 

Only 2-3 variations will be provided for your comparison. This is to ensure you are taking into consideration the concepts objectively, not based on fonts, colours and layouts which can distract your attention from the relative results. 

Once you have selected your stand out logo design, then we will develop that concept, to incorporate the colours, images, fonts, and vibe that your brand will align with. Colour, imagery and font selection is quite a science - as there is quite a psychology to it. 

Once everything is approved, finalised and paid for I will send over your final files in various formats for web and print.

WHAT IF I DON’t like your 3 logo concepts?

We will go back to the drawing board in asking you about the vision of your business and if you are not clicking with the logo in the development phase, we will do more research. We don’t take this task lightly and often our clients are so impressed that they normally don’t get past the second concept because they love it so much. 

Worst case scenario we will give you a money back guarantee.

How will WE communicate throughout the process?

At the beginning of the process I will chat via a Video Call or in person (if this is included in the package you choose). After this initial consultation most of our communication will be via email as I find this the best way to work. 

If you would however like to schedule a time to chat throughout the process I can certainly do so. Just know that our time is very precious - so if there is any extended meetings or conversations you will be invoiced for these at our hourly rate. 

How long will the design process take?

Each job is different. If you have a deadline in mind please let us know at the beginning of the process and I will let you know if it is achievable. When we start working together I will send you a design proposal that outlines your project time-line so you know when you can expect to hear from us and when I expect to hear from you.

What format will I get my work in? 

All artwork for print will be supplied in high res vector format (.PDF & .EPS) – so no quality will be lost. If your artwork is for web purposes I will supply these files as .PNG & .JPEG for you to upload. It is not our standard practise to release raw design programme files. We have worked like this before however and happy to discuss the process if you should ever need this option. 

What do I need to provide?

If you have any text, please provide this in either a word document, email, or PDF format. I cannot open Publisher files, or any external design files other than Adobe CS5. All artwork for print will be need to supplied in high res vector format (.PDF & .EPS) – so no quality will be lost. If you have images they must be provided in 300dpi, CMYK, for print, or RGB for Web Versions. 

If you have specific fonts, it is important to include the licence for these. 

What sort of payment optionS do you offer?

I have connected Xero, and will invoice you via email, which payment is required up front. Please be sure to read through our terms of trade.

What are your terms?

Please ask for our terms and conditions, we will happily provide these. We have standard terms of conditions, yet often on the first instance of working with us we ask for an deposit up front, with the remaining balance either due on completion or on the 20th of the following month, whichever comes first.
